These Banana Nut Muffins with Chocolate Chip Streusel have the perfect texture and taste while providing you a “skinny” version of a popular bakery favorite. The combination of the banana, oatmeal, walnuts, brown sugar and chocolate chips provide your taste buds with a variety of flavors and textures that your mouth will crave.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Prepare muffin tin with butter flavor cooking spray. (spray each compartment)
In a large mixing bowl whisk together the mashed bananas, yogurt, vanilla and egg.
In another mixing bowl mix together the dry ingredients which include: multigrain baking mix, oatmeal & sugar
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
Fold in walnuts.
Fill muffin tins 2/3 full and then add 1.5 tsp of streusel on top each muffin bake for 25 minutes **For extra fluffy & moist muffins do not over mix

@Emily, I purchase my Multigrain baking & pancake mix from Trader Joe’s. I know that Hodgsons Mills also has a multigrain baking mix that is available in the regular grocery stores.
Found you via Pinterest. I was wondering if you knew what the point difference would be if I omitted the nuts?
Since the walnuts are 11 pp+ for the entire recipe, it might drop the points down to 4.
